In the year 110AX, the first contact with mysterious beings known as Aethers occurred.

This disastrous contact resulted in great destruction and countless deaths.

To defend humanity against future Aether attacks, the NAV organisation was established to develop mobile suits known as NeoGrades.

Twenty years later, the Aethers have returned.
